Hi there! My name is Katie Trojak and I'm an American 2nd year student studying History and International Relations at King's College London. There was so much I didn't understand when going through the process of applying, getting accepted, and ultimately coming over here and there's been so much that I've learned because of that.
I love traveling and have been lucky enough to visit over 55 countries across 4 continents. I still have to get to Africa, Australia, and Antarctica though! I love giving advice for other's travels and putting my experiences on my blog gives me a bit of an electronic journal.
My articles will be mostly about University in London, updates on my life, and different travel experiences I've gone on.
My hope is to be completely transparent with you all, sharing about my application process to UK school, showing the hardships I'm going through living in another country, and everything I'm doing now that I'm here. I ended up going to school in the UK in a very backwards way, but so far it's been one of the best decisions of my life!
Outside of this blog, I love music and I'm a songwriter. I've performed at festivals and venues back home in Philadelphia. I also love reading and writing, mainly young adult fiction. I'm a huge theater nerd and nerd in general, enjoy crocheting when I have time, and love starting and helping with charity projects. I'm also Catholic and my faith means the world to me.
If you have any questions, want advice on coming to the UK for school, or want me to cover a particular topic on this blog, please just drop me an email on the contact page! I'd love to hear from you and would be happy to answer any questions you might have or even set up a video call with you.
